Through this flagday activity, we hope to raise funds for women, men and children who are victims of domestic violence to support their daily lives and various community education and promotional services, and to maintain Harmony House's ability to continue to provide a wide range of support services to families affected by domestic violence.

In Hong Kong, at least eight children witness or experience domestic violence every day, with most abusers being the children's parents or caregivers.
One in every six individuals who experienced domestic violence from intimate partners is male.
They all share a common name—domestic violence victims. The violence they endure affects not only their bodies but also deeply scars their souls.
A mother, with her two-year-old daughter, hides in a cold corner in the dead of night, silently crying. Her heart is filled with despair and fear. Her two-year-old daughter witnesses the arguments and harm between her parents. Her childhood, which should be filled with laughter, is lost in the ugliness of violence.

Established in 1985, Harmony House was the first organization in Hong Kong to provide shelter services for battered women and their children. Since then, it has developed into a one-stop domestic violence prevention and treatment center, providing a wide range of preventive, therapeutic and developmental services to help families affected by domestic violence, as well as promoting harmonious and healthy family relationships through different kinds of community education activities. It also promotes harmonious and healthy family relationships through various community education activities. In addition, the organization provides training for multi-disciplinary professionals and advocates for policy and law reform.
